Project Objective

The project was developed to demonstrate a sustainable alternative to conventional septic systems in low-density residential developments where centralized sewer infrastructure is unavailable and there is a high ground water table coupled with clay soils.

The installation provides:

• compliant onsite wastewater treatment,

• reduced freshwater consumption through reuse,

• lower long-term operational costs,

• environmentally responsible effluent management aligned with national environmental regulations (EMA SI 6/2007 compliant effluent standard)
