Dzinde ReDzinza installs decentralized, non-electric onsite wastewater treatment systems engineered to achieve high-efficiency biological treatment and consistent effluent quality in line with:
SDG 6.3.1A which is dedicated to the proportion of domestic wastewater flows safely treated
Comply with the Environmental Management Agency (Effluent and Solid Waste Disposal) Regulations (SI 6 of 2007)
Comply with Public Health (Effluent) Regulations, RGN 638 of 1972 (as amended)
Dzinde ReDzinza deploys in-conduit hydropower systems within existing water networks to recover excess hydraulic energy and convert it into clean, renewable electricity. The solution integrates directly into transmission and distribution pipelines, replacing or operating in parallel with conventional Pressure Reducing Valves (PRVs) or break pressure tanks thereby maintaining system pressure control while generating power.
Technical Performance
Operates within gravity-fed pressurized pipelines
Requires surplus pressure ≥ ~8 psi (>5m head) for viable energy recovery
Typical configurations:
Conventional turbines (Pelton, Francis, Kaplan)
Pump-as-Turbine (PAT) for stable flow conditions
Dzinde ReDzinza supplies Glass-Fiber Reinforced Plastic (GRP) pipes and fittings which deliver high-performance, corrosion-resistant and hydraulically efficient water infrastructure designed for multi-generational service life (>150 years). With over six decades of proven global application, GRP pipelines provide a technically superior alternative to steel and concrete across potable water, wastewater and hydropower conveyance systems.
